Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda Claims SEC Gymnast of the Week Honors

March 18, 2026

Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda is ending her season just like she started it – with another league honor.

The senior earned SEC Gymnast of the Week honors for the second consecutive week to close the regular season.

Harris-Miranda posted a 39.775 in Florida’s meet against No. 22 Kentucky, the highest total score in the SEC this week. She recorded a perfect 10 on beam for the second week in a row.

“I was super proud of myself. We train beam like crazy,” Harris-Miranda said after her first perfect score of the season against No. 2 LSU. “Everyone else knows what to do so it makes me feel better that I’m gonna go and do my job.”

Her performances contributed to No. 3 Florida posting back-to-back nation high totals against LSU and Kentucky. This is Harris-Miranda’s sixth SEC Gymnast of the Week Award, earning three this season after collecting three in her first year at Florida last season. She was also named SEC Specialist of the Week the first two weeks of the season.

The recognition comes as the Gators prepare for the SEC Championship, where Harris-Miranda scored a 10.0 last year to win the vault title. Florida hopes to carry that momentum into Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday.
