Florida Softball Back On The Road Against Stetson

March 31, 2026

Recovering from a series loss against No.9 Arkansas in Fayetteville last weekend, the No. 5/7 Florida softball team is on the road for a rematch Wednesday against Stetson.

In a surprisingly close contest against the Hatters last week, the Gators came out victorious with a 3-2 win.

During that game, Jocelyn Erickson was one of the Gators’ most impactful players with a fifth-inning RBI double that left her a home run short of the cycle.

Florida tied the game at 2 in the third inning, after Taylor Shumaker singled and Erickson drove her home with her first triple of the season.

After a hit-by-pitch and a single, Keagan Rothrock got back-to-back strikeouts to earn the victory for the Gators.

As a team, the Gators lead the NCAA in doubles and rank in the top five in batting average, hits, home runs, RBI, runs scored and walks.

Erikson also enters Wednesday’s game two RBIs short of 200 for her career with a chance to become the sixth Gator all-time to reach the mark.

In this rematch, the Gators (33-4, 9-3 SEC) are hoping to get their 9th straight win against in-state opponents this season while also getting their 14th straight win over Stetson (22-14, 7-2 ASUN), a streak dating back to the 2006 season.

First pitch is at 6 p.m. at the Stetson Softball Complex.
