Two Transfers Look to Lead Florida Gymnastics to NCAA Title

April 18, 2026

Florida gymnastics has secured its spot in the NCAA Gymnastics Championship final after posting a 197.7875 score in Thursday’s semifinal round in Fort Worth, Texas.

Senior eMjae Frazier set the tone for the Gators, leading them to the NCAA Championships by notching Florida’s top all-around performance with a score of 39.5625. She placed second, just under LSU’s Kailin Chio, the reigning SEC Gymnast of the Year.

The California transfer has been a top performer all season, but hasn’t consistently led Florida’s all-around. It’s been Selena Harris-Miranda who has guided the Gators and topped the all-around week after week. Together, the two transfers will be key to helping the Gators claim the program’s fifth national title on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. ET on ABC at Dickies Arena.

Frazier used her last year of eligibility to transfer from the University of California to Florida this year and has been instrumental in her new school’s success. Last season, she watched as Florida and Alabama clinched a spot at the NCAA championship, with her Cal team falling short in the regional championships. This year, however, looks different for Frazier. She’s performing her best on the expanded stage.

Her main goal is to trust her team: “Not everything is guaranteed. It’s about how good your team is mentally and how present we are. I think that just goes to show that we’re here for each other, we’re unbreakable, and it’s just a party.”

Things can feel that way when one’s championship-bound.

Harris-Miranda, who transfered from UCLA, brings similar experience and perspective. In her second year at Florida, she has become one of the team’s top all-around performers. Across the most recent weeks, she has been a vital anchor to Florida’s ascension to being a contender.

At that point, Frazier has been the postseason force the Gators needed to make a deep run. Harris-Miranda has been a constant source that Florida has leaned on. These two gymnasts came to Florida for this exact moment: to be on the biggest stage chasing a national title. Now the backbone of the team, they hope to showcase their elite experience at the NCAA Championships.
