On a weekend in which some games were postponed because of Hurricane Irene, there was still plenty of action in big league baseball.

David Price and Tampa Bay blank Toronto 12-0 as Price fans 14 in seven shutout innings.

In other American League action, Texas now has a three game lead over Los Angeles in the AL West after a 9-5 win over the Angels. Kansas City nips Cleveland 2-1 as Bruce Chen wins his fifth straight start; Minnesota hammers Detroit 11-4; Chicago blasts Seattle 9-3 and Baltimore and New York split a doubleheader.

In the National League, St. Louis downs Pittsburgh 7-4; Houston nips San Francisco 4-3; Arizona downs San Diego 6-1 to open a four game lead over the Giants in the NL West. Milwaukee nips Chicago 3-2 and Cincinnati gets by Washington 5-4.
