Braves Sweep Diamondbacks In MLB Action

The red hot Atlanta Braves complete a sweep of National League West leading Arizona with a 1-0 win over the D’Backs on Sunday.

In other NL action, Milwaukee downs New York 6-2 while Washington nips Philadelphia 5-4. Cincinnati downs Pittsburgh 5-4 while San Francisco gains a game on Arizona with a 6-4 win against Houston. Colorado breaks a string of 17 straight losses on Sunday with a 5-3 win over Los Angeles while San Diego edges Florida 4-3 and St.Louis downs Chicago 6-2.

In the American League, Detroit downs Cleveland 8-7 to sweep the series and put the Indians four and a half games behind the Tigers in the AL Central. Chicago keeps pace with a 10-0 drubbing of Texas while Tampa Bay also wins 8-7 against Seattle. Alex Rodriguez made his return to the New York Yankee lineup after injury, going hitless in a 3-0 win over Minnesota.

Boston downs Kansas City 6-1; Jose Bautista’s homer the only run in a Toronto 1-0 win over Oakland and Los Angeles downs Baltimore 7-1.
