Braves, Rays Win, Marlins Lose In MLB Action Monday
Dan Uggla extends his hitting streak to 29 games as the Atlanta Braves beat the Florida Marlins 8-5 Monday night in Miami.
In other National League games, New York came back from a late 8-4 deficit to nip San Diego 9-8 as Lucas Duda hit a game winning two run single in the bottom of the ninth inning. San Francisco maintains a half game lead in the AL West despite losing 5-0 to Pittsburgh as second place Arizona loses 9-1 to Houston. Colorado also beats Cincinnati 10-7 and Philadelphia downs Los Angeles 5-3.
In the American League, Boston increases its lead over New York in the AL East to a game and a half with an 8-6 win over slumping Minnesota. Elsewhere, Texas downs Seattle 9-2 and Chicago beats Baltimore 7-6. Tampa Bay got a win, beating Kansas City 2-1.
