Gator Football Team Opens Camp In Preparation For Season

The 2011 edition of Gator football will officially open camp today in Gainesville with practices in preparation for the team’s season opener in just a few weeks.

Florida is ranked 23rd in the USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll and many pollsters believe Florida will finish third in the SEC East as well.

That should provide plenty of motivation for this team that does have talent but that is also very thin on its lines of scrimmage and devoid of a lot of juniors and seniors as well.

Of course a new head coach and coaching staff will try to mold this young team together with a schedule that as of the USA Today preseason poll finds Florida having to play three of the top five teams in the country in Alabama, LSU and Florida State.
