Gators Get Ready For Vols

The 16th ranked Gator football team gets ready for its first major test of the season when it hosts SEC rival Tennessee Saturday.

Florida and Tennessee are both 2-0 but both have not been truly tested. The Vols have been solid offensively and quarterback Tyler Bray is coming off a 400 yard passing performance in a Vols win over Cincinnati.

Tennessee also features two excellent receivers in Justin Hunter and Da’rick Rogers who have combined to catch 31 passes already this season for over 500 yards. Bray has not thrown a pick yet this year and has seven touchdown passes and he is 6-1 as a starter with 19 touchdown passes and only four interceptions.

Veteran Tauren Poole is the featured running back and he runs behind a young offensive line. Both Florida and Tennessee are very young teams and both play a large number of freshmen and sophomores.

Tennessee has not beaten the Gators in their last six meetings.
