Gainesville High School Beats Ocala Trinity Catholic In HS Football

The Class 6A, ninth ranked Gainesville High School Purple Hurricanes remain unbeaten on the year after beating Class 3A, number 3 Ocala Trinity Catholic 29-6 Thursday night in Gainesville.

Running back Ralph Webb led the way offensively by running for 159 yards on 38 carries as the Canes move to 3-0 on the season.

Meanwhile St. Francis of Gainesville moves to 3-0 on the year as it beats Florida School For The Deaf 53-22 on Thursday as running back Grant Maris runs for 175 yards and two touchdowns.

Tonight, Buchholz travels to play Columbia County; Keystone Heights travels to play Union County, the number two team in the state in its classification; Orlando Jones visits Eastside; Interlachen is at Hawthorne and Suwannee visits Santa Fe High.
