LSU Beats Mississippi State With Late TD

September 16, 2011

The third ranked LSU Tiger football team remains unbeaten after beating Mississippi State 16-6 on the road Thursday night.

It was a far from pretty game for both teams but a game the LSU defense dominated as it completely shut down the Mississippi State running game while holding the Bulldogs to just six points at home and to only 193 total yards.

Meanwhile LSU scored just enough on offense and put the game away in the fourth quarter on a Jarrett Lee touchdown pass. Running back Spencer Ware kept the Bulldogs honest on the ground with 107 yards rushing on 22 carries.

LSU is now 3-0 while the Bulldogs drop to 1-2 and to 0-2 in SEC play.
