Tigers, Cardinals and Brewers Win Baseball Playoff Games

The St.Louis Cardinals spotted Cliff Lee an early 4-0 lead but chased him later on their way to 5-4 win over Philadelphia to even their divisional series at a game apiece.

The Cardinal bullpen also held the Phillies scoreless for six innings after starter Chris Carpenter was ineffective early. Game 3 moves to St.Louis on Tuesday.

The Milwaukee Brewers pound Arizona 9-4 to go up 2-0 in their divisional series with the series now shifting to Arizona Tuesday.

In the American League, Tampa Bay and Texas are tied at a game each in their divisional series and Tampa hosts Texas tonight. Last night, Detroit downed New York in the rain 5-3 to even that series at one game each and Detroit will now host Game 3. Max Scherzer got the win for the Tigers on the hill.
