Cardinals and Rangers Pick Up Baseball Playoff Wins

The St.Louis Cardinals made a four run first inning stand up in the National League Championship Series Wednesday night as they hold on for a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

St.Louis is now up two games to one with Game 4 tonight in St.Louis as Kyle Loehse pitches for the Cardinals against Milwaukee lefty Randy Wolf.

Meanwhile, Nelson Cruz strikes again. The Texas Rangers outfielder hit a three run homer in the 11th inning to help the Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers 7-3 to take a three games to one lead in the American League Championship Series. The game was played in Detroit.

Mike Napoli, having a great series for Texas, actually drove in the lead run in the 11th with a single before Cruz hit his homer that seaed the win. Game 4 is this afternoon in Detroit with Justin Verlander pitching for the Tigers against C.J. Wilson for Texas.
