The Gator football team is in the midst of a bye week that seems to be needed, considering the number of injuries on the team.
Gator coach Will Muschamp updated some of those injuries on Tuesday, saying he hoped to have the injured players back at practice at some point in the next few days. However, it does not mean that those players will play, as running back Jeff Demps did not play last week with an ankle injury.
Demps with an ankle, Ronald Powell with a reported neck injury, kicker Caleb Sturgis with a leg injury, offensive lineman Dan Wenger with an ankle injury, cornerback Jeremy Brown with a knee injury and wide receiver Andre Debose and running back Mike Gillislee with other injuries are the players Muschamp hopes to have back at practice soon.
Injured quarterback John Brantley is still not practicing and freshmen quarterbacks Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel are splitting reps at this point.
