Palmer Traded To Raiders; Sports News And Notes

The Oakland Raiders have acquired quarterback Carson Palmer from the Cincinnati Bengals for a 2012 first round pick and a conditional second round pick the next year that could become another first rounder if Oakland makes it to the AFC title game in those two seasons.
The Raiders make the move after starting quarterback Jason Campbell is lost due to injury and he could be out for six weeks or more. Oakland is 4-2 on the season.

- The Big East is trying to expand to 12 teams for football. The Tigers are rumored to be soon asking the SEC for acceptance into that conference.
