The LSU Tigers, currently the number one team in the BCS poll, will face Auburn Saturday without three players who have reportedly been suspended for the game.
The Daily Reveille, a student newspaper, says starting running back Spencer Ware, starting defensive back Tyrann Mathieu and defensive back Tharold Simon will all not play because of what the newspaper says are failed drug tests.
LSU officials have neither confirmed for denied the story or the suspensions.
All three players are important cogs in what has been an unbeaten season so far for the Tigers.
LSU has faced distractions like this already this season when quarterback Jordan Jefferson was suspended as was wide receiver Russell Shepard. Both are back with the team now.
