Rangers Tie World Series With Late Rally

October 21, 2011

The Texas Rangers scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to rally for a 2-1 win over the St.Louis Cardinals Thursday night in Game 2 of the World Series. The Series is now tied at a game each.

The Cardinals nursed a 1-0 lead going to the top of the ninth but the bullpen could not hold the lead. Josh Hamilton and Michael Young hit sacrifice flies to plate the runs and the Rangers avoided an 0-2 hole.

Game 3 is set now for Texas on Saturday.
