Gator Volleyball Wins; Soccer Loses

The 13th ranked Gator volleyball team continued its winning ways on Sunday with a three game sweep of Mississippi State at home, winning 25-23, 25-18 and 25-18. Florida is now 17-3 overall and 10-1 in SEC play.

Kristy Jaeckel saw a 14 match double digit hitting streak come to and end Sunday but teammates like Cassandra Anderson (eight kills, four blocks) and Tangerine Wiggs (11 kills) aided the Gator cause.

Meanwhile the Gator soccer team loses at home 1-0 to LSU on Sunday. The loss on Senior Day drops Florida to 14-5 overall and to 7-3 in the SEC. LSU is now 12-6-1 and 7-3 in the SEC as it defeats the Gators for the first time in 15 matches. Florida also falls a game behind South Carolina for the SEC East and overall SEC lead.
