Rangers Even World Series With Shutout Win

October 24, 2011

Derek Holland was magnificent on the mound for the Texas Rangers and the offense did just enough as the Rangers down the St.Louis Cardinals 4-0 at home Sunday night to even the World Series at two games each.

Game 5 is tonight in Texas.

The story of Game 4 was young lefty Derek Holland for the Rangers who allowed just two hits in eight and a third innings to quiet the hot Cardinal bats. The Rangers got Holland a run in the first and Mike Napoli hit a three run homer in the sixth to give him extra cushion.

Tonight Chris Carpenter pitches for St.Louis against C.J. Wilson.
