Chiefs Edge Chargers On MNF

November 1, 2011

The Kansas City Chiefs took advantage of a late fumbled snap by San Diego quarterback Phillip Rivers and hung on for a 23-20 Monday Night Football win at home.

With less than a minute to play with the score tied at 20 all and the ball with San Diego at the Kansas City 15 yard line, Rivers fumbled a routine snap. The Chiefs recovered to force overtime and about midway through the overtime, former South Carolina kicker Ryan Succop kicked a field goal to give the Chiefs the win.

Kansas City, San Diego and Oakland are all now tied atop the AFC West with 4-3 records.
