The struggling Big East Conference, raided by other bigger conferences, will look to add new members in a very short time.
Several sources say the conference is set to invite UCF, SMU, Navy, Houston Air Force and Boise State to join its league within the next several days. Boise State, Air Force and Navy would be football only schools with the others to be all sport members.
Conference commissioner John Marinatto, under fire recently for not doing enough to keep the league together, met with the league presidents in Philadelphia on Tuesday to discuss the invite plans.
The proposed plan for expansion is said to include two divisions in the Big East, an East and a West division.
