Gators in the NFL – Week Nine Update

25 former Gators were active week nine of the NFL season. Of those 25, 14 started for their respective teams. David Nelson, Andre Caldwell, Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernandez and Jabar Gaffney all found the end zone during week nine.

• Mike Peterson- Played but did not record a stat
• Andra Davis- Played but did not record a stat
• David Nelson- Started at WR and caught four passes for 36 yards and one touchdown
• Major Wright- Recorded the start at FS and corralled four tackles and his first career interception in a win vs. the Eagles on Monday Night Football
• Andre Caldwell- Had five receptions for 22 yards and one touchdown in week nine
• Carlos Dunlap- Tallied three tackles, two sacks, two QB hurries and one pass defended
• Reggie Nelson- Started at FS and recorded four tackles, including one on special teams
• Joe Haden- Started at CB and registered seven tackles in week nine
• Derrick Harvey- Not active week nine
• Tim Tebow- Received the start at QB. Tebow threw for 124 yards, two touchdowns and no interception on 10-for-21 passing. Tebow also ran 12 times for 118 yards
• Marcus Thomas- Started at DT and recorded two tackles
• Jeremy Mincey- Bye week
• Mike Pouncey- Started at C. It was his eighth consecutive start to begin his career.
• Percy Harvin- Bye week
• Jermaine Cunningham- Not active week nine
• Aaron Hernandez- Caught four passes for 35 yards and one touchdown.
• Brandon Spikes- Started at OLB and had five tackles
• Gerard Warren- Was active but did not record a stat
• Cooper Carlisle- Started at RG in week nine. Carlisle now has 109 career starts
• Jarvis Moss- Was active but did not record a stat
• Louis Murphy- Caught one pass for 23 yards
• Lito Sheppard- Appeared in his first game of the season. Sheppard recorded one tackle
• Riley Cooper- Was active week nine but did not record a stat
• Chas Henry- had two punts for 71 yards and a long of 44. Henry landed one punt inside the 20
• Marcus Gilbert- Started at RT in week nine
• Maurkice Pouncey-Made his 25th consecutive regular season start at C
• Max Starks- Started at LT. Starks has made 73 career starts, all of which are for the Steelers
• Ray McDonald- Was inactive week nine because of a hamstring injury
• Earnest Graham- Currently on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles’ tendon
• Jabar Gaffney- Started at WR and was the recipient of four passes for 40 yards and one touchdown
• Rex Grossman- Saw action but did not record a stat
• Maurice Hurt – Recorded his first career start when start at LG during week nine
