Gator Women's Hoops Loses; Men At South Carolina Saturday

The Gator women’s basketball team sees its SEC record fall to 1-3 aftre losing 61-55 at Georgia Thursday night.

The Gators dug themselves a first half hole and played spirited basketball in the second half but a rally fell short. Florida trailed 29-16 at halftime and stayed within striking distance late in the game but it could not convert shots late and just fell short in the comeback attempt.

Florida will host LSU on Sunday as the Gators fall to 11-6 overall with all of their SEC games being decided by six points or less.

Meanwhile the Gator men’s basketball team travels to play South Carolina on Saturday and WRUF Sports Radio 850 has live coverage at 6:25pm. Florida is 1-1 in league play and comes off a home league win over Georgia while South Carolina is 0-2 in SEC play.
