The day many fans, coaches and players wait for in college football has finally arrived as today is National Signing Day.
The Gators lost out on one of the players left on their board when linebacker Josh Harvey Clemons picked Georgia this morning; he is from Valdosta. UF lost out as well on defensive back Tracy Howard, who chose Miami over the Gators and others. Also defensive tackle/end Leonard Williams, who was also on Florida’s board, decided to attend USC.
Wide receiver/athlete Nelson Agholor also spurned Florida, going to USC as well.
The Gators did though pick up a commitment from defensive end Dante Fowler who flips from FSU to Florida. And there was a surprise signing as well by Tallahassee Lincoln wide receiver Raph Andrades a recruit that has flown relatively under the radar.
Last night, defensive lineman Darius Hamilton stuck with his verbal commitment to Rutgers despite the coaching change there. He had been down to Florida and the Scarlet Knights.
