Both Gator Basketball Teams Play Tonight!

Both Gator basketball teams will be in action tonight with SEC teams as the opponents.

The Gator women go on the road for a second straight SEC game to face LSU, a team the Gators beat in Gainesville earlier this year. The Tigers have fallen on some hard times after a nice start to the season mainly due to some injuries but Florida is also in big time need of an SEC win to improve its NCAA resume as the Gators are 3-5 in league play.

The Gator men meanwhile host South Carolina tonight and you can catch the action live on WRUF Sports Radio 850 starting with our Countdown To Tipoff show at 7:30pm.

Florida has also beaten South Carolina this year although that win came on the road. The Gamecocks only have one league win but can be dangerous with guard Bruce Ellington and 6’6” senior Malik Cooke leading the way.

Florida is 17-4 and 5-1 in league play while Carolina is 9-11 and 1-5 in the SEC.

Florida will have a quick turnaround as it will host Vanderbilt on Saturday.
