Two local schools, Union County and Hawthorne, will play each other this morning in a Class 1A state semifinal game in boys basketball. The game will be played in Lakeland.

Union County is 15-13 on the year while the Hornets are 21-7. The teams have not played each other since the 2006-2007 season but in this meeting a berth in the Class 1A state championship game is on the line.
