UF Routs FAU 16-1; Hosts FAMU Tonight

The number one ranked Gator baseball team ran its record to 11-1 after routing Florida Atlantic 16-1 Tuesday night in Gainesville.

The Gators put this one away early as they scored three runs in the first and six more in the second inning to make a winner of starter Bobby Poyner who was making his first career start as a Gator.

The hitting stars for Florida were catcher Mike Zunino who went 3 for 3 with two homers; Tyler Thompson who went 2 for 5 with five rbi and Preston Tucker who went 2 for 4 with two rbi.

Florida returns to action tonight when it hosts Florida A&M in a game you can hear live on WRUF Sports Radio 850 starting at 7pm.
