Gators Down Auburn In SEC Baseball Tournament

The Florida Gator baseball team wins its first game in the SEC Tournament Tuesday by downing Auburn 6-1.

Gator starting pitcher Jonathan Crawford was excellent for theGators as he and three relievers combined to toss a three hitter.   Crawford (5-3) got the win.

Meanwhile freshman Justin Shafer drove in three runs to lead the Gators offensively.

The Gators now have today off before playing the winner of the South Carolina/Vanderbilt game being played today.

In other SEC Tournament first round games, Kentucky blanks Ole Miss 2-0; Mississippi State crushes Arkansas 9-1 and Vanderbilt tops Georgia 4-1.   Today, Ole Miss plays Arkansas in an elimination game and LSU will face Mississippi State.   The late games have Auburn facing Georgia in an elimination game and South Carolina facing Vanderbilt.
