** The Los Angeles Kings are Stanley Cup champions after beating the New Jersey Devils 6-1 Monday night in LA…the Kings win the series four games to two. LA scored three goals during a five minute major penalty for New Jersey to put the game away early.
** The NBA Finals start tonight as the Miami Heat travel to face the upstart Oklahoma City Thunder. Will this be the year LeBron James wins his first NBA title or will the young Thunder and its nice blend of youth and experience turn the trick?
** Buchholz High School has rather surprisingly fired its football coach, Matt Kerstetter, after only one year on the job. Kerstetter, a successful coach in California, was only 1-9 in his first year with the Bobcats with an injury depleted team. He did coach spring ball but he will not be allowed a second year with the team.
