U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Goes For Olympic Gold Today

The United States women’s soccer team tries to avenge a World Cup loss to Japan today in the gold medal game of the Summer Olympics in London. Action takes place this afternoon.
In other action, the men’s basketball team rips Australia 119-86 as LeBron James has a triple-double and Kobe Bryant hits six 3 point shots in the win. The U.S. team now plays Argentina in the semifinals. The U.S. women’s team has a semifinal game of its own today as well.
There will be lots of track action today too. The men’s 200 meters features teammates Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake competing and Gators are involved too as Tony McQuay today ran one of the legs in the semifinals of the 4 x 400 meter race. And in the triple jump Gators Will Claye and Christian Taylor will be in the finals today. Claye already has a bronze medal in the long jump.
