** Augusta National golf course, the home of the Masters, finally has female members after South Carolina financier Darla Moore and former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice were admitted Monday.
** Two new starting quarterbacks named in the NFL; Jake Locker will be the starter for the Tennessee Titans and rookie Ryan Tannehill will start for the Miami Dolphins.
** The Jacksonville Jaguars apparently will play multiple home games in London over the next four seasons; a formal announcement is expected today.
** Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford will have Tommy John surgery and his season is over.
** The University of Kentucky has named sophomore Maxwell Smith as its starting quarterback after a four player battle for the position.
** And several Gator football assistants have signed contract extensions according to reports. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, running backs coach Brian White, special teams and linebacker coach D.J. Durkin, tight ends coach Derek Lewis and defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson to contract extensions. Quinn becomes Florida’s highest paid assistant.
