With Week 3 of the NFL preseason in the books, there’s been a lot of changes over the course of the weekend.
The Tampa Bay Bucs edged out the New England Patriots 30-28 on Friday.
The Bucs, who were dead last in sacks last year, dropped Pats quarterback Tom Brady twice. Rookie Bucs safety Mark Barron also had a pick six.
Bucs QB Josh Freeman went 10/19 for 102 yards. Vincent Jackson lead the way for receivers, bringing down three receptions for 49 yards, all on one touchdown drive for the Bucs.
The bad news out of the game is that starting Bucs guard Davin Joseph was carted off the field with what looked like a right knee injury. Tampa head coach Greg Schiano says that it’s all about looking forward.
Meanwhile in Baltimore, the Jacksonville Jaguars got beat 48-17.
Jags QB Blaine Gabbert went 11/21 for 117 yards, with running back Rashad Jennings getting 57 yards on 13 carries.
Jags corner Rashean Mathis saw his first action of the preseason, but Aaron Ross went down with an ankle and TE Zach Miller left in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury.
The Miami Dolphins lost to the Atlanta Falcons 23-6 but the biggest news was the trade of cornerback Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for two draft picks.
