** New SEC member Texas A&M will not open its season this week as planned.   The Aggies had to postpone their opener due to Hurricane Issac and will now open their season at home next week against Florida.

** There are reports that say UF defensive back Pop Saunders will miss the first two games of the season.   There are reports he is injured and others say he has been suspended.

** College football season kicks off tomorrow with several games including an SEC tilt featuring South Carolina and Vanderbilt.   UCF will also open its season at Akron and UCLA will travel to face Rice and Washington State will face BYU in other season opening games.
