Gator Bye Week Could Help On Injury Front
The University of Florida football team has a bye this week and even though it comes earlier than in most seasons, the timing just might be good in getting some injured players back for the LSU game in a couple of weeks.
Gator coach Will Muschamp said on Monday that defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (shoulder) offensive lineman Chaz Green (shoulder) wide receiver Trey Burton (back spasms) tight end Jordan Reed (head) and defensive tackle Dominique Easley (knee) should all be able to play against LSU.
Muschamp said offensive lineman Matt Patchan will again be out with a pectoral injury and that it was possible that linebacker Jelani Jenkins could be back after suffering a broken thumb a couple of weeks ago.
LSU will play Towson this week after just getting by Auburn 12-10 this past Saturday.
