** The top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide lose two players to season ending injuries as running back Dee Hart and wide receiver DeAndrew White both go down with knee injuries.
** Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo threw five interceptions, two by former Gator Major Wright, as the Cowboys at home lose to the Chicago Bears 34-18 on Monday Night Football.
** In prep football, several local teams are ranked in the latest polls released Monday. Trenton is number one in Class 1A while Gainesville High School is ranked number one in Class 6A. Class 1A is particularly impressive with local teams dominating the rankings as Union County is number two followed by Dixie County and Chiefland.
