** The unbeaten Gator football team moves up to number four in the new AP Top 25 college football poll and to number six in the USA Today Coaches poll after beating previously unbeaten LSU last week. Alabama is first, followed by Oregon and South Carolina in the AP Poll. West Virginia is fourth and Kansas State fifth in the Coaches poll.
** The Gator volleyball and soccer teams post tough wins on Sunday; Gator volleyball rallies from down two sets to defeat Kentucky as Florida goes to 7-0 in the SEC and to 13-2 overall. Meanwhile the Florida soccer team upsets fifth ranked Texas A&M 2-1 on the road to improve to 7-1 in the SEC and to 10-3-1 overall.
** Matt Kenseth wins the NASCAR race at Talladega after leader Tony Stewart flipped his car on the final lap, causing a 25 car accident. Stewart was trying to block drafting cars from passing him when he says he “screwed up” and crashed just about the whole field. Brad Keselowski continues to lead the Chase For The Cup by 14 points over Jimmie Johnson and by 23 points over Denny Hamlin.
