After spending last weekend away upsetting the 5th ranked Texas A&M Aggies and beating LSU, the now 12th ranked Gator soccer team returns home to face Missouri on Friday and Mississippi State on Sunday.
Florida head coach Becky Burleigh says the seniors have a lot to do with the team’s achievements this year and she’s hoping they end their regular season career at home on a good note.
Burleigh says that coming off a big win last weekend against such a high ranked and hard working SEC team like the Aggies is a huge accomplishment. She says she thinks it has given the team a confidence boost going into this weekend.
Although the Gators have won seven consecutive games (the longest winning streak of the season), Burleigh says the team still have its eyes on the prize. With only five games left until the SEC Tournament (current record is 10-3-1 overall and 7-1 SEC) they need to take their games one day at a time and be prepared for each individual team.
“Being ready” begins Friday at 7pm against the Missouri Tigers. You can tune in to ESPN Radio 850/900 at 6:50pm for live coverage of the game. For the Mississippi State game live coverage starts at 1:50pm.
