** In local prep football, a big city rivalry game tonight in Gainesville as Buchholz takes on Class 6A number one Gainesville High School.  In some other key games, Class 1A number one Trenton hosts number five Dixie County; PK Yonge is at Union County and Newberry visits Hawthorne.

** The Pittsburgh Steelers fall to the Tennessee Titans 26-23 as Rob Bironas kicks a field goal as time expires.   The Titans are 2-4 on the year while the Steelers fall to 2-3.

** Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss two Chase For The Cup races because of a concussion, meaning he has no chance of winning the Cup Chase title.

** The Gator volleyball and soccer teams are both at home this weekend, hosting two SEC games each.
