** In baseball’s League Championship Series, Detroit blanks New York 3-0 and St.Louis stops San Francisco 6-4. Detroit goes up 2-0 in the ALCS after winning and getting a break from a blown call from an umpire that eventually helped the Tigers score two runs in the eighth inning. St.Louis takes a 1-0 lead in the NLCS with Game 2 tonight in San Francisco.
** Gator volleyball and soccer both continue to win; volleyball sweeps Auburn for its 12th straight win to move to 15-2 and 9-0 in the SEC while Gator soccer tops Mississippi State 4-1 on Senior Day to improve to 12-3-1 and to a league leading 9-1 in the SEC.
** Florida’s football game with South Carolina will be a 3:30pm game Saturday on CBS but ESPN’s College Game Day will be here too.
** Gator football coach Will Muschamp could give an update today in his Media Day on several injured players who either did not play last Saturday or who got hurt in the game itself.
** Monday Night Football tonight has Denver facing San Diego.
