** The NHL has made a proposal of a 50-50 revenue split to its players as the NHL lockout continues. In the last contract, players got 57 percent of the revenue.
** The Miami Hurricanes might not have starting quarterback Stephen Morris available when the Hurricanes play FSU this week. Morris has a sprained ankle.
** After Notre Dame got a controversial win over Stanford this past weekend, the National Coordinator of NCAA Officials Rogers Redding said the call of the last play of the game where the Irish held Stanford out of the end zone was the right call.
** The Washington Nationals have activated pitcher Stephen Strasburg and others to place those players on their 40 man roster. Strasburg was shut down at the end of the season to preserve his arm after undergoing Tommy John surgery last season.
