Jimmie Johnson gets closer to a Chase For The Cup title, an update on Marcus Lattimore’s injury and more in our Monday Sports News And Notes…

** Jimmie Johnson wins the NASCAR race Sunday in Martinsville, Virginia to overtake Brad Keselowski in the Chase For The Cup standings.   Johnson now leads Keselowski by two points while Clint Bowyer is 36 points off the pace; he finished fifth in Sunday’s race.   Kyle Busch finished second in the race followed by Kasey Kahne.

** South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore has suffered a dislocated knee according to head coach Steve Spurrier.   Lattimore was injured Saturday severely for the second time in two seasons but there is hope he will play football again.

** Game time has been set for the Florida-Missouri football game this Saturday as kickoff will be at noon on ESPN2.   Our First And Ten pregame show will air at 9am to start our coverage.

** The Gator football team will need help if it is to reach the SEC title game and that help could come from Ole Miss who travels to Athens to face the Bulldogs on Saturday.   Georgia would have to lose this week or next week against Auburn for Florida to advance and the Gators would have to beat Missouri Saturday as well.
