The Florida Gators (8-1, 7-1 SEC) will host Louisiana Lafayette (5-3, 3-2 Sun Belt) in the Swamp this Saturday. The Gators are hoping to revitalize a struggling offense that is currently 79th in the nation in scoring and hasn’t scored more than 17 points in their past two games. Florida offensive coordinator Brent Pease knows that changes need to be made for the offense.
Of late, Florida has run some no huddle, up tempo offense and Pease also wants to make sure that the up tempo offense becomes more consistent.
After throwing two interceptions and coughing up two fumbles against Georgia, Gator starting quarterback Jeff Driskel played a balanced game against Missouri where he threw for a touchdown and didn’t commit any turnovers. Pease says that Driskel is continuing to show improvement in his decision making.
There have been many rumors swirling around about Pease looking into the vacant Kentucky head coaching job and he even has the endorsement of head coach Will Muschamp. Pease, however, is focusing on his commitment to Florida.
Kickoff for the game is set for 12:21pm. Don’t forget to catch all the coverage of the game right here on ESPN 850/900 and also on our sister station Country 103-7 The Gator starting with the 1st & 10 Pregame Show at 9am followed by the Extra Point postgame show one hour after the game.
