** The Gator volleyball team downs Ole Miss in three games on the road Sunday. Florida is now 21-4 overall and 15-1 in the SEC. The Gators host LSU Friday and South Carolina on Sunday.
** The Gator women’s basketball team is now 2-0 on the season after whipping Georgia State 84-65 Sunday at home. Gator coach Amanda Butler gets her 100th coaching win at Florida with the victory. Senior Jennifer George scores 19 to lead the way for the Gators in the win and Florida now faces FSU on the road on Thursday.
** The Chase For The Cup in NASCAR is down to the final race as things turned ugly Sunday in Arizona. Jimmie Johnson crashed, giving Brad Keselowski a 20 point lead over Johnson going to the last race in Homestead, Florida after Keselowski finished sixth. The race was marred by a fight between the crews of Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer after Gordon seemed to intentonally wreck Bowyer.
** The Gator soccer team will host UCF on Friday in NCAA Tournament second round action. Florida beat Florida Gulf Coast 2-0 to advance while UCF will face the Gators in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last six seasons in the second round. Before those teams play, Notre Dame will face Wake Forest at 4:30pm.
** Conference commissioners are meeting today to discuss a playoff format for college foootball.
