** The Gator football program gets its 25th verbal commitment for the 2013 class when former Clemson commit and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson says yes to the Gators. Florida now has five wide receivers in the 2013 class.
** Both the Miami Heat and the Orlando Magic lose in the NBA; the Heat lose to Golden State 97-95 on a shot with .9 seconds left and the Magic lose their fourth in a row at home, beaten by Atlanta 86-80.
** The offensive coordinator for Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel has left the Texas A&M program to return to his alma mater; Kliff Kingsbury is named the new head coach at Texas Tech.
** The Gator men’s basketball team could get another verbal commitment next week when top prospecit Jabari Parker will announce which school he will attend. He will choose between Florida, Michigan State, Stanford, BYU and Duke.
** Former Gator and Miami Dolphins star Nat Moore will be one of several players honored by the Dolphins by being placed in their Walk of Fame.
** Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey says he is going to make some changes in his personal life after being hospitalized this week. The former Gator did not disclose his illness but says he will start eating better and hydrating better as well.
