The Florida women’s basketball team will travel to Philadelphia on Sunday to take on the La Salle Explorers. The Gators are 7-3 so far this season while the Explorers are 1-8. Florida is on a two game win streak and come into this game after a week off for final exams.
Florida head coach Amanda Butler compliments La Salle and says the team is good on both sides of the floor.

After a long layoff for finals, Butler says the team has to maintain focus to continue to win games.

Florida has been fortunate to have a lot of depth this year, and Butler says that it has definitely been helpful to the team.

With a young team, part of that depth is playing freshmen and young players and Butler says it’s important to involve the freshmen and give them playing time because it’s the only way for them to get game experience.

After this game, the Gators will head back home for the annual Gator Holiday Classic on December 20th and 21st.
