Gator Women’s Hoops Hosts Holy Cross
The Florida women’s basketball team plays its last non-conference game of the season tonight when it hosts Holy Cross in the O’Connell Center.
Florida puts a 13 game home court winning streak on the line tonight as the Gators come off an 81-75 win over Central Michigan in their last home outing. Florida is 10-5 on the season while Holy Cross is 5-5.
However, Holy Cross has gotten back arguably its best player from injury in guard/forward Amy Lepley who scored 16 points in her first game back. Last year, she led the team in scoring at 13.6 points a game and in rebounding at 6.4 a game.
Senior post player Jennifer George leads the Gators in scoring at 14 points a game while pulling down nine rebounds a contest. Freshman Sydney Moss has also done well, scoring 11.2 points a game.
