** The Gator football team has lost another player to the NFL Draft as junior linebacker Jelani Jenkins has declared for the NFL Draft.
** Florida did get some good news as wide receiver Demarcus Robinson re-commits to the Gator football program; he is from Georgia.
** Former Gator Brad Beal hits a game winning shot last night as his Washingon Wizards upset the Oklahoma City Thunder 101-99; Beal had 22 points in the game.
** Current Gator hoops player Erik Murphy has a fractured rib and might not be able to play in Florida’s SEC opener Wednesday at home against Georgia; he did not play in Florida’s last game, a win over Yale on Sunday.
** Georgia senior quarterback Aaron Murray will return for his senior year but the mass exodus at LSU continues as four more underclassmen, including defensive linemen Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery, will leave for the NFL Draft.
** And former Gator soccer star Abby Wambach has been voted as the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year, only the second American to win the honor.
