** The Manti Te’o drama deepens as rumors swirl about the incident involving an alleged hoax perpetrated against him by someone that showed his girlfriend of three years never existed. The Associated Press reviewed news coverage of the incident and found that Te’o mentioned his girlfriend twice after learning on December 6 that she did not even exist.
** The Jacksonville Jaguars have a new coach in Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley; Bradley’s spot was filled quickly with the hire of UF defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. The Arizona Cardinals also fill their coaching vacancy with the hire of Bruce Arians, the man who helped ailing Chuck Pagano coach the Indianapolis Colts to a playoff spot this season.
** Former Gator wide receiver Ike Hilliard has been named wide receivers coach of the Buffalo Bills while former Mississippi State head coach Sylvester Croom has been named running backs coach for the Tennessee Titans.
** Former Gator quarterback Jacoby Brissett will transfer to NC State to play his college football; he will have to sit out next year per transfer rules.
** The Gator gymnastics team hosts Missouri tonight at 7pm while the Gator track teams have a successful day in their Gator Invitational Indoor meet held yesterday as 11 Gator athletes claimed titles.
