** The Miami Heat winning streak is at 24 after beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-95 Wednesday. The Heat overcame a 27-point deficit to get the win.
** The Orlando Magic were defeated by the New York Knicks 106-94. Carmelo Anthony returned to the lineup and scored 21 points.
** The NFL passed two new rules, eliminating the so-called “tuck” rule and making it a 15-yard penalty for any offensive or defensive player that use the crown of their helmet to make forcible contact.
** James Madison and LaSalle get NCAA Tournament wins; JMU downed LIU Brooklyn 68-55 and LaSalle topped Boise State 80-71. LaSalle now faces Kansas State while JMU takes on Indiana.
** The Gator softball team beat USC Upstate 11-0 in a run rule game. Florida is now 28-3 and will next face Arkansas this weekend.
** The Gator women’s basketball team competes in the WNIT tonight when it travels to face FIU.
** The Gator women’s swimming and diving teams compete in the NCAA Championships through Saturday.
