** The Gator women’s basketball team plays in the WNIT tonight on the road at Charlotte. UF has won two games in the tournament, both on the road.
** The Miami Heat look to make it 28 wins in a row tonight, but they’ll have to get this win on the road at Chicago.
** The NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament is down to the Sweet 16 and four SEC teams are still alive in Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and LSU.
** The New York Yankees have acquired outfielder Vernon Wells from the LA Angels for two minor leaguers, and the Angels will pay the bulk of Wells’ contract as well.
** Yankee shortstop Derek Jeter will not be ready for opening day as his surgically repaired ankle is still sore. The Yanks hope to have him back around April 6.
