** The NCAA champion in women’s basketball will be crowned tonight when Louisville faces Connecticut. The Louisville men’s basketball team captured the men’s crown last night with a win over Michigan.
** The Gator baseball team faces FSU in Tallahassee tonight, trying to win one game of three the teams will play against each other; you can hear the game live at 5:55pm on Country 103-7 The Gator.
** Former Gator David Nelson, let go by the Buffalo Bills, has signed on with the Cleveland Browns.
** Coaches Rick Pitino, Jerry Tarkanian and Guy Lewis, along with Bernard King, Gary Payton, North Carolina women’s coach Sylvia Hatchell and University of Virginia star (and current South Carolina coach) Dawn Staley are new inductees into the Naismith Hall of Fame. They’ll be inducted in September.
** In MLB action, Tampa Bay lost to Texas 5-4 while Atlanta blanked Florida 2-0.
** Gator coach Will Muschamp will conduct exit interviews with his players this week following the conclusion of spring practice.
